Coach Zeljko Kopic's players successfully concluded sixteen-day-long winter training camp in Turkish Belek. In Turkey, they had a number of demanding training sessions and have played three international friendly matches, winning each one of them.
In the first training match, they played against FC Zurich and won 4:1, while in the second match they beat the second-placed Polish team Lech Poznan with 1:0 . Last test was against Slovakia's Trencin, and the result was 4:2 for Hajduk.
They scored a total of nine goals in three games and conceded three. Hugo Almeida, Ahmed Said Said and Adam Gyurcso scored two goals, while Borja Lopez, captain Zoran Nizic and Hamza Barry scored one goal. Toma Basic collected hree assists in all three matches.
"His cross is fantastic and he has proved it in all three games here in Turkey" Said said.
During the winter training camp in Turkey, a winger Adam Gyurcso, left back Steliano Filip and midfielder Mijo Caktas joined the team. Cakltas returned to Hajduk after two years.
More than three weeks of preparation have passed, the central part took place in Belek, and coach Kopic is satisfied with the players throughout the whole preparation period so far. They can still make progress both physically and tactically. The coach and his staff are working intensively to improve the game and performance quality of each individual, taking care of every detail during the training process. The level of work, training and team discipline during the preparation is very high.
They are returning to Split in the evening and already on Friday and Saturday (February 2nd and 3rd) they are participating at Andrija Ankovic Memorial Tournament in Gabela, where they will play the last two matches ahead of the start of the second half of the season that will take place on February 11th. In the first round of the spring season, Hajduk is playing against Cibalia in Vinkovci.
