Hajduk played the first friendly game as a part of preparation for the new football season. They participated at the celebration of 100th birthday of NK Orkan and beat their host 9:0. Ivan Delić and Michele Šego scored two goals, while Mijo Caktaš, Ardian Ismajli, Stanko Jurić, Ante Palaversa and Mirko Ivanovski added one each.

"We've had a good week in terms of training, and with this match we've finished the first micro-cycle, it's just important that everyone is healthy. The match at the end of the first week was very useful to us. I combined the team and each of the 22 players played 45 minutes. We played well, there were very nice actions, we scored nine goals. The energy was very good, it was obvious from the beginning that we really wanted to play. The approach was serious and right and I am very pleased with it" said coach Željko Kopić.

A part of the players who were not in the squad had a training at Poljud...

"Some of them joined us later, and for some we have estimated that it is better to train separately, with a fitness coach. They also had morning and afternoon training sessions at Poljud".

The game against Orkan concluded the first week of pre-season preparations. The team will go to Kupres on Monday, where they will be training until Friday, June 29 and the match against Gornik, which will be played at Poljud Stadium at 19:50.

"We have a precise plan and work programme. Tomorrow we have a day off, we will train at the stadium on Monday morning, and then we will go to Kupres where we will train until Friday and the match with Gornik" concluded the head coach.
