Domagoj Bradarić's assist to Jairo after which Erhun Obanur scored an own-goal opened the doors towards a convincing Hajduk's victory over Rudeš at Kranjčevićeva stadium in Zagreb.
"It was obvious from the very beginning that we entered the match calmly, the whole squad played a great match. When we took the lead, I tried to assist Jairo but their player scored an own-goal, after which we continued playing well and deserverly won this match" said Bradarić after the game.
Five locally trained players got a chance in this match.
"All young players feel free of pressure with coach Oreščanin, he supports us all the time and that's why we always give our best. We communicate a lotduring training sessons, which also helps us in the matches. This was not an easy match but we scored for a lead early and then everything was easier".
The next opponent is Osijek. Hajduk is playing an away Cup quarter-final tie against Osijek at Gradski vrt on Wednesday.
"We are now turning to this match, we will go for a win there, it's very important to us but we are aware that it won't be an easy match. Osijek is a host but we will prepare well and we believe in victory. They are aggressive, they will for sure try to make pressure right from the start but we must resist it and play our game" concluded Bradarić.
