The fifty-six-year-old expert and former Hajudk player and coach Zoran Vulić will again sit on the Hajduk bench after 11 years. His assistants will be his longtime associate Mladen Pralija and Mario Carević, the former player of Hajduk whose coach back then was the newly appointed Hajduk head coach (and with whom he won the 2001 title).
The first team training session will take place on Monday at 18:00, and Zoran will be officially presented at Poljud on Monday morning. His first match as Hajduk's head coach, after 2007, will take place on Saturday, September 15, when Hajduk will host Rudeš at Poljud in the First League. 
Vulić was born on October 4, 1961 in Split, and coached Hajduk in 156 official matches, of which 101 victories, 26 draws and 29 defeats. He won the title with Hajduk in 2001 and Cup in 2003. He played 277 official matches in Hajduk and scored 37 goals.
He coached Hajduk for the first time in 1998, in five championship rounds. In the season 2000/01, he led Hajduk to the title of the champion. In the third mandate at Poljud (from 2002 to 2004) he won the Croatian Cup in 2003. His latest engagement as Hajduk's head coach was in the season 2006/07. 
Last season he worked in the Greek club Apollon Smyrni, while formerly he coached Moldovan Sherrif, Kazakhstan Atayra, RNK Split, Istra 1961, Rijeka, Russian club Luč Energia  and Croatia U-19 team.
