Today, on the occasion of Hajduk's 108th birthday, we dedicated a showcase in memory of Slavko Luštica, a legendary player and coach of Hajduk, who won three Former Yugoslavia titles with Hajduk as a player and one as a coach.
"Slavko Luštica called Žiga. We called him like that because he reacted just like a match. He would blow up quickly but turn off even quicker. He won six championships, scored 86 goals and he was a midfielder. Many generations say that in his time Hajduk played the most beautiful football. I ofter hear it from the supporters who have been watching Hajduk's games for 40 years. The peak of his career was in 1978 when he was named head coach of the national team" highlighted former Hajduk player Marino Lemešić with pride.
