The Croatian Heritage Foundation hosts annual football tours for teams featuring Croats from abroad. This is part of their effort to maintain Croatian national and cultural identity outside the homeland. Usually these matchups include Hajduk, and this year is no exception.
On August 12, Monday, Poljud will thus host a friendly match between Hajduk's generation of 1998 and the corresponding team from Mississauga Croatia of Canada. Kicking off at 9:30, the game is obviously not being played for the result, and players and staff from both sides will spend time together afterwards.
