Mijo Caktaš scored two goals in the UEL QR2 second leg match where Hajduk beat Slavia 3:2 in Sofia and with a total of 4:2 reached the 3rd qualifying round. Caktaš first made a foul in the 45th minute, after which the referee awarded the home team a penalty kick from which they scored an equalizer for 1:1, but after that he scored a penalty in the 55th minute and then brought the victory by scoring another goal in the 87th minute.

"Our team is good, but I think we are currently struggling a bit, we have a certain lack of confidence for which mistakes are happening that should not happen. But in the end we deserved to win and reach the next round. We knew we were a better team, it just had to be shown on the field. Mentally, it was not easy after the defeat in Osijek, but we managed to recover from it and show that we could do better" Caktaš said after the game ended in Sofia.

He commended debutants at Hajduk.

"It's always nice to see when young home players are joining, I think today they have shown their value, they all did a good job".

Certainly, this victory will raise the confidence of the team before the next championship match against Lokomotiva at Poljud.

"When you win, there is a different atmosphere in the team immediately, confidence increases, I believe we will be even better in the next games" Caktaš concluded.
