Only a few months ago, the Club introduced a possibility of taking English lessons for Youth Academy players, and the first results have already been achieved. The young players made significant progress in their initial tests and their school grades have considerably improved.

Our Pedagogical Department started this foreign language program for Youth Academy players at the end of August 2017 and since then, different lessons, workshops and tests take place at Poljud several times a week. Teacher Ana Papic is also pleased with the advancement, pointing out that it is a pleasure to work with children who want to improve their knowledge.

"In the beginning, we had children with different levels of knowledge, so we made initial tests to keep track of their further progress in English language. After six months, we are pleased to inform that almost all the participants made great progress in a few months. Some of the results are up to forty percent better, some not that much, but I find personal satisfaction in the fact that a large number of participants improved their school grades during that period" Papic told.

Depending on the obligations of young players, they can participate English lessons up to three times a week, and if necessary, they can take additional lessons in case of comprehension difficulties. We have joined the lessons several times and noted that the program was not monotonous. On the contrary, children are learning through interesting workshops, social games, dialogues, different themes and movies.

Young players can combine the pleasant and the useful in an entertaining way, learn the football terminology that they will surely need one day, and when such combination gives concrete results, then the satisfaction is even greater.
