One of the heroes of the biggest Croatian derby was goalkeeper Karlo Letica, who kept a clean sheet by collecting several brilliant interventions. "Karlo Veliki" locked his goal again, and it is unbelievable that in seven of his eight official games for the first team, he conceded only one goal.
"I don't want to talk about myself, the team has done a good job, we all deserved this victory. We have been working hard and it is now paying back to us, the championship is long and I believe we can still get closer to Dinamo" said Hajduk's goalkeeper.
For the second time this season, Mario Gavranovic failed to score from a penalty kick in front of Letica. He saved his penalty for the first time when he played for Rijeka, now his penalty kick went wide of the goal.
"I stayed calm again, applied the same tactics and again I was more successful. This was my dream debut in the biggest derby, really great thing, a big win for which I am very happy" Letica concluded.
