Josip Bašić recovered from injury a few days ago and he immediately found his place in the starting lineup for the derby with Dinamo instead of the injured captain Josip Juranović. He successfully dealt with the tasks during the game and after it ended, he particularly thanked coach Burić for his trust.
"First of all, I want to thank the coach for giving me a chance to be a part of the starting lineup after practically two training sessions that I had with the team. When he told me that I would play, I promised him that I would give my best. I'm a professional and always ready to play but for a while I was not with the team and when he called me, I didn't have any doubts, I didn't even think about a possibility that I might get injured again" said Bašić.
