A Brazilian winger Jairo scored two goals and played a good match at Kranjčevićeva. He scored the first goal for 3:0 on the assist of Mijo Caktaš in the 64th minute, while five minutes later he scored for 4:0. Hajduk beat Rudeš 4:1.
"I'm happy that we won and that I scored two goals. We did everything that the coach expected from us. We quickly and easily scored the first two goals, which made it easier and we well deserved this victory".
The squad rather quickly accepted the ideas of the new head coach Siniša Oreščanin.
"Each coach is different, he brought his philosophy of football and we easily got used to it, so I hope that we will keep playing well in the future".
Many Hajduk's young talents played this match.
"It's always good to have our Youth Academy players, they brought new energy and it was visible on the pitch. They are good and I believe they will continue like that, they have a great potential".
He commented his good shape after he scored the fifth goal in the last four matches.
"Sometimes you play a good match but you simply can't score. I'm now scoring but it can always be even better. You have to work every day to improve your skills, not only me but the whole squad. It's the only way to make progress".
On Wednesday, Hajduk is playing an away Cup quarter-final match in Osijek, kick - off 17:00.
"It will of course be a different kind of match in comparison to the one against rudeš. It is a more challanging opponent but I believe in us and I hope that we will qualify to Cup semi-final" concluded Jairo.
