This afternoon, HNK Hajduk signed a 19-year-old Ivan Dolček until June 30, 2023. The new Hajduk player came from the Croatian First League team Slaven Belup where he spent the last four years. At Hajduk, he is coming as a left back who can also play at the wing positions.
"I'm happy to sign the player that we have been followong for a long time and whose profile matches what we want. He is one of the most promising players in his position, but he is also extremely versatile and we will have great benefits from him in the long run. Young and talented, we expect that he will need to pass the adjustment phase, we know why we brought him and we stand behind it. He has a great room for progress and we are delighted that he recognized Poljud as a place for his future development. I wish Ivan a warm welcome to Hajduk" said Sports Director Saša Bjelanović.
Dolček was born in Koprivnica on April 24, 2000. For the youth Croatian teams (U-18 and U-19) he played 12 matches and scored a goal. He will wear the white jersey number 31. Young talented Ivan collected 11 appearances for Slaven Belupo last season, and among the many offers that came to his address, his only wish was to come to Hajduk.
"I'm really happy and proud and a little bit excited that I came to Hajduk, who recognized me as a talented player who could bring them much in the future. The reason for my arrival and acceptance of the offer is, above all, that I recognized the project presented by Sports Director Bjelanović, which is the work with young players and their progress and development. I look forward to sharing my position with Domagoj Bradarić, who has been declared the best HT First League left-winger last season. I believe we will collaborate well and make each other better. I know a lot of young players with whom I played in international youth teams, like Michele Šego and Jakov Blagaić and I believe I will fit into the team very quickly." Dolček did not hide the enthusiasm.
He has already headed for Pohorje and in the evening he should join the teammates on their preparation for the new season.
Ivan, we wish you luck and success in the white jersey!
