Just before the match Levski - Hajduk in Sofia, management of HNK Hajduk received the decision of UEFA, whereby Hajduk was fined to play the next Europa League home match behind closed doors and on top of it also pay 55,000 euros fine.
The reason for such UEFA's decision to punish Hajduk to play the match without spectators is the racist chanting of Hajduk supporters during the match in Dugopolje. For the same reason, the club was fined 50,000 euros, and because of throwing of various objects in the field, with an additional 5,000 euros.
The Uefa decision is based on the FARE report and Hajduk will appeal to the decision. It is important to note that the UEFA Match Delegate and the UEFA Security Officer appointed for the subject match praised Hajduk for the organization of this high security risk match that had to be played in Dugopolje, which was extremely demanding in terms of match organization.
