Head coach Siniša Oreščanin debuted with an away win against Rudeš in Zagreb. Hajduk beat Rudeš 4:1 and after the match, coach Oreščanin especially praised the approach of his squad.
"I'm very satisfied but I must stay moderate in order to prevent any kind of euphoria. However, I'm really happy for my squad, they responded well to changes in these few days, this result is their merit. It's only the first match and we have a tight schedule so there is no time for too much praise. We need to improve many things, which is why it's good that we conceded that goal, so that I can demonstrate the players through analysis what went wrong" said coach Oreščanin after the victory in Zagreb.
