Marin Ljubić debuted for Hajduk in the UEL QR2 second-leg match against Slavia from Sofia. Hajduk won 3:2 and reached the  third qualifying round and the 21-year-old goalkeeper did a good job and had two great saves. He couldn't save any of the twoc conceded goals, the first one was from a penalty kick while the second one was scored after he saved the first shot, so he couldn't react fast enough when Slavia shot the second time in the same action. 

"Victory and next round coming. What should I say after this, it was the best possible Europa League debut for me, I'm truly satisfied and happy. I will need some time to deal with impressions" said Marin after the game in Sofia.

He had one great intervention in the 83rd minute and saved Angelov's shot. The result was 2:2 and Slavia player had a great chance to score but Ljubić fantastically saved.

"I'm glad I could have helped the team, this is the first team and you work for this all your life, I got a chance and it is hard to describe how happy I am that eveything went fine, just as we expected" added the young goalkeeper.
