The project "Academy" was presented today at Poljud. President of the Board Ivan Kos held a presentation to numerous businessmen and sponsors.

"Since the beginning of my mandate, about 10 million HRK have been invested in infrastructure. An artificial grass pitch was changed on training grounds. 11 generations of players are training on that pitch, it is unacceptable for me that Hajduk didn't have any serious project for the last 38 years since the Club moved to Poljud. The pitch was also expanded because it had dimensions problems".

"The main pitch is the second investment. It is mostly damaged because of Ultra and we still have no possibility of saving it after the festival. This year we invested in it, we fully changed the natural grass".

"On the training pitch with natural grass, we have changed the drainage that has not been made since 1979. One of the investments are the new team benches. We fully redecorated all eight dressing rooms. Our first team now has the best and widest dressing room of all I've seen around Europe".

"We arranged teaching room at the Academy and engaged an English language teacher to help players improve their knowledge. We started solving the problem of the toilets at the stadium stands. Out of 24 in total, we have restored 14 and will definitely finish the remaining ones by the beginning of the next season. We have made a special stadium entrance for children, our new mascot Rico is widely accepted, we want families to come and finally end the story that the stadium is not for them, which is definitely not true. We have more kids at that entrance than the other clubs have match spectators and we are really proud of it".

"In cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering, students will make a study of the interior decoration of Poljud hallway and the trophy halls. We will try to improve the Stadium Tour".

"Concerning the near future, we gathered here to let you know that it is our intention to get two new smaller pitches. We will get a lot by that, because we will be able to train additional 200 children from the age of 5 to 10. The estimated cost is approximately 6 million HRK. The first phase will cost 2.5 million and the Club will invest. For the second phase, we have opened a special bank account that will be dedicated to the Academy and every sponsor and donor will be able to see exactly where their 1000, 5000 or 50,000 HRK are spent".

"As far as the Camp is concerned, we have come to four potential locations, none of which has ideal conditions. We are working on the development of sports boarding school. No one is in the area of South East Europe has it. If we manage to do it, it will mean a lot for all sports".

"The project of Arena Poljud sounds even more interesting. We are now working on the concept, we will elaborate a feasibility study, it doesn't have to be just a football arena. If we adjust Poljud and find a solution for the pitch to repeatedly resist football and concerts, it would be a great thing".
