In the premises of City Hall in Opuzen managements of NK Neretvac and Hajduk signed an Agreement on business and sports cooperation.

The Agreement was signed by President of the Board of Hajduk Ivan Kos and President of NK Neretvanac Damir Deak, and in the presence of the Head of the Football Academy of Hajduk Kresimir Gojun, Hajduk club chronicler Jurica Gizdic, Mayor of the City of Opuzen Ivo Mihaljevic and member of the Executive Board of NK Neretvanac Nikica Resetin.

The President of Hajduk Ivan Kos believes that this is only the beginning of cooperation, all in order to improve their infrastructure and the coaching staff as an investment in future talents:

"Hajduk opens the doors to cooperation with smaller communities, small clubs that should become mini centres in which we will develop both great footballers and people. I am happy and proud that we will be present in the south of our beautiful country as well. The aim of this business and sports cooperation is an investment in children and talents, developing players and their education, education of such children that will become adults who will live sports. We want to improve the infrastructure and the coaching staff and raise life standards at least one level up. This is just the beginning and I believe that future generations will continue to work together in partnership. You have a great support in Hajduk".

President of Neretvanac Damir Deak did not hide his satisfaction at the ceremony, especially because Opuzen is a city where all the inhabitants warmly support Hajduk.

"Today's signing of the contract with Hajduk will give us a major boost so that in the long term we create even better conditions for work with children. The real result of cooperation with Hajduk will be when someone from Neretvanac plays for the starting lineup of Hajduk at Poljud stadium. I'm glad that you chose Neretvanac as the first club that will collaborate with Hajduk in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County".

After signing contracts with NK Junak Sinj, NK Zmaj Makarska, NK Croatia Zmijavci, NK GOSK Gomilica and NK Gospic 1991, Hajduk is starting cooperation with clubs from other Croatian regions too, with the main goal of developing football in Croatia which is a common interest of all clubs.

The main wish and the goal is to cooperate with clubs from Dalmatia, Lika and other Croatian regions to help extend a range of Hajduk's Academy players for a successful future of Hajduk and Croatian football in general.
