Yesterday, Hajduk played a great game in which they dominated most of the match against the leading team of the First League, but Rijeka managed to win one point from a penalty kick awarded to them. Hamza Barry scored the goal for Hajduk, he started the action for a goal, took advantage of a mistake of guest team defense and scored from unsavable shot. Excellent performance of his team in the end did not result in winning all three points. After the match, this 22-year-old midfielder of Hajduk, who this week got invited to the national team, said:
"In the end, I'm not satisfied with one point. From the first minute we wanted to win, but in the end we conceded a goal from a penalty. Everyone saw that we played very well and motivated from the kick - off. Rijeka was lucky and got a point, but that's not what we wanted. We are now moving on, I hope we can continue like this, such performances are a good motivation for us to continue".
This season's Hajduk top scorer Marko Futacs shares the same kind of thoughts. Marko played a fantastic match, creating big problems to Rijeka defense and just missed a goal to round off a fantastic performance, but the goalkeeper of Rijeka, Andrej Prskalo, stopped some very good attempts of this striker:
"I am very sad after, we had a great chance to win. We were much better team than Rijeka, that in the first half did nothing, we put a lot of pressure on them all over the field and practically they couldn't breathe because of us. In the second half they had some chances that were not so great. We were motivated, we played as a team. I had a great chance to score in the second half for 2:0, but their goalkeeper saved his goal. Too bad we lost two points".
