On Monday, December 4, Hajduk is starting works on construction of new training fields in the parking area at Poljud, which in the past years was used by Croatian Auto Club as a polygon for driving schools. After all the necessary permits have been issued, Hajduk opened a public tender and finally a contract on Friday with the company Cestar from Split, which will start the works next week.

As the President of the Board Ivan Kos announced in October, it is the first phase of the construction of two football fields, a playground fence and a new access points in the north. The new fields of 30x50m will have artificial grass, covering the surface of the existing parking lot. By realizing this project, Hajduk's Youth Academy will get additional capacities that will enable the development of open football schools for the youngest children and will significantly dismantle the existing artificial grass training pitch.

It is expected that this project will be realized in April 2018 and during that time, Hajduk will continue preparation of documentation and funding for the phase B, which includes the dressing rooms, covering one part of the stand and any other changes that are required by propositions, so that Hajduk II can play Croatian Second League matches on the training pitch.
