This Saturday Hajduk played an away MAXtv First League derby against Dinamo Zagreb at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb and was defeated 2:1.
Due to bad weather, the derby attracted only around 8000 spectators on this cold, foggy winter afternoon in Zagreb.
Dinamo took a lead in the 5th minute already, when Fernandes scored for 1:0 practically from the first goal attempt at the match.
Hajduk, supported by at least 1500 fans who came to see the match in Zagreb, managed to score an equalizer in the 17th minute. Tino Sven Susic assists to Mijo Caktas, who scores from 16 meters distance for 1:1.
The derby presented very good game which brought many nice football actions on both sides, but both teams played very concentrated in defense, which is why the result wasn't changing and it seemed that the match is going to end up in a draw.
The turning point in the match happened in the 90th minute when Jefferson was shown second yellow card for a doubtful foul over Rog, for which Hajduk's player was sent off.
The referee showed 4 more minutes of stoppage time, Hajduk kept fighting but in the 94th minute, only a few seconds before the full- time, Soudani scored for Dinamo's 2:1 lead and Dinamo took all three points.
