In the MAXtv First League, round 18, Hajduk lost a match against Slaven Belupo in Koprivnica. The final result was 2:1 for the home team, Ahmed Said Said scored in the 45th minute for Hajduk while Buric scored in the 34th and Ivanovski in the 60th from a penalty kick for a win of Slaven Belupo.

Hajduk had a chance to score an equalizer in the last minutes of the match, but Marko Futacs hit the post from a penalty kick.

After the match, assistant coach Vik Lalic spoke to the media:

"We can't be satisfied because we lost, but even if we won one point, we would not be satisfied. We came here to win, to approach closer to the leading teams Rijeka and Dinamo. It was not good, especially the first half where we made a lot of technical mistakes. In the end, luckily for us we went to the half time with a 1:1 draw. I don't want to make any remarks on the penalty kick awarded to Slaven Belupo because it won't change anything now. We analyzed Slaven Belupo thoroughly, they played exactly as we expected, but we were not playing as we thought we will" said Lalic.
