Hajduk defeated Varaždin at the Poljud stadium with the result 4:2 in the last friendly match before the start of the second part of the championship.

At the start of the match Hajduk took the lead through a Marin Ljubičić goal, and the rest of the first half belonged to the visiting team.

Hajduk was much better at the second half, and achieved a victory, thanks to the goals of Marko Livaja, Alexander Kačaniklić and Jan Mlakar.

The first official match against Šibenik will be played on Saturday, at the Šubićevac stadium.
