Mario Maloča is no longer Hajduk player, after he signed a contract with Lechia from Gdansk, Poland.
"We are grateful to Mario for everything he gave to Hajduk. We wish him all the luck, and to fulfill all his sports ambitions," said chairman of Hajduk Marin Brbić.
Mario Maloča joined the Hajduk first team in the age of 18, and played eight seasons with the Whites. Former captain collected 233 caps in official matches, and scored eight goals.
Counting friendly games, Maloča played 316 matches. He also won two Croatian Cups, in 2010 and 2013.
"Those eight years in Hajduk were the most beautiful moments in my life. All my dreams came true when I played the first match, and everthing that came afterwards was a pure pleasure. I want to thank fans and everyone in the club for all our moments together. This friendly farewell to Hajduk is a beginning of something new in my life, but I will always keep Hajduk in my heart," said Mario Maloča.
