The 23-year-old Romanian football player Steliano Filip had his first training with teammates on the winter training camp in Turkish Belek on Thursday. Filip came to Hajduk after five and a half years in the Romanian club FC Dinamo Bucharest, where he also wore the captain.

"The level of training and the quality of the players is much higher than in Dinamo Bucharest. I joined the team that has a completely different style of play, but I hope and believe that I will quickly get used to all the ideas of coach Zeljko Kopic. The teammates have welcomed me and they are all friendly and that's what makes me very happy and motivates me. This is, however, the first time I play outside of my country, and the team spirit is such that I almost immediately fit in" said Filip about the first impressions after the first training sessions in Belek.

His signature caused a large interest of Romanian media who wanted to hear the first impressions after transferring to Hajduk. Since Filip was already preparing for the remaining season with his former club, he was physically in good shape, ready for all the activities that were ahead of him.

"I'm in good shape, because I started with preparations with my former club at the same time as Hajduk. The level of fitness is the same as for all teammates so I immediately joined the training process together with the team. I expect to play against Lech for a few minutes, I feel very good and am ready for that".

He talked with coach Kopic who explained him all the ideas and tasks he expects of him.

"I talked to the coach who explained what he expected of me, how the team plays. I'm happy because Hajduk plays the way it suits me, and that's a what we practice in training. Power, pressure, aggression is what describes me as a player and precisely because of that, I will not have problems with giving my maximum in the Hajduk jersey".

"As I said when I arrived, my ambitions are to reach the highest goals with the Club and I work hard on it. We have a chance to win the Cup, and in the Championship we will do our best to come closer to the leading team".

He is already familiar with the city of Split and the Club, since he had shared a dressing room with former player of Hajduk, before moving to Hajduk.

"I talked to Ivan Pešić who told me all the best about the city of Split and its beauties, the Club and what it represents. When I told him that Hajduk wants me he told me "Go and don't think, Hajduk is the right club for you." He showed me the videos from the matches and the atmosphere at the stadium and I have to admit I can hardly wait to play at Poljud.
