It was a dream debut for Stanko Jurić, a young player who will turn 22 years in 10 days. At the very beginning of the game Dino Beširović had to leave the pitch due to injury, but in a great way he was replaced by Juric who in the 25th minute took advantage of a fantastic cross of Toma Basic and scored from a header for 1:0 against Slavia Sofia. By the end of the game Stanko had a series of good and timely reactions in the middle of the pitch.

"It's a fantastic feeling to score for Hajduk, that's what you dream of all your life, especially in one of such important games. But, apart from that, the most important thing is that we passed this round, now we have to turn to Lokomotiva and do our best to win that match" Jurić said after the official debut and the first goal in a Hajduk shirt.

Jurić started the match against Slavia as a substitute, but he entered after only seven minutes, after Beširović was injured.

"I did not expect to play so early in the game, but I'm always ready, and at the end everything went fine".

The young midfielder arrived in Hajduk at the beginning of this year from Dugopolje. He played a very good half season for Hajduk II, and then he was invited to join the first team.

"Half a year in the second team helped me a lot and I want to thank all the coaches of Hajduk II who have prepared me for everything that expects me in the first team".

After a success against Slavia, on Sunday they are playing the First League match against Lokomotiva at Poljud.

"We were physically prepared, we knew what challenges we may have and I'm sure that this rhythm will not be a problem for us. We will do our best to improve our game and on Sunday we will win the first championship game in the new season".

He dedicated the goal to his late grandfather.

"This is for him. Because of him I wear number 24 because he was born on 12.12" concluded Jurić.
