Hajduk has been playing impressively from when coach Zeljko Kopic took over the team. It was their seventh win in eight matches (one draw), with a goal difference of 22:4. In the last four matches, Hajduk kept a clean sheet and scored 13 goals (an average of 3.25).

Six out of eight matches were played away and Hajduk won each of them. By the last win against Dinamo in Zagreb, Hajduk tied the record set in 1992, when the team collected the same number of away consecutive wins.
