After a 1:1 draw against Everton FC in their UEL Playoff second - leg match, which in the end was not enough to qualify further into the competition, the players said:

"I apologize to all of the teammates, the club and the supporters first because of the missed penalty, and then because of inappropriate reaction to the spectators in one situation. When I was leaving the game, the crowd was clapping like I did to them. They gave me support, as they support me daily on the street and through social networks, I'm really proud of having such fans. When I took the ball for the penalty kick, I wanted and felt the best, but it was a bad moment. I took the ball first, I was full of confidence, just like Ante and Niksi. Maybe one of them will shoot the next time, but the most important thing is to shoot and score" said Ahmed Said Said after the game.

Josip Radosevic scored for Hajduk in the 43rd minute, for a great joy at crowded Poljud:

"From the first minute we entered in the match concentrated, we knew what to do. We made the pressure and finished the first half with minimal advantage and better play. In the halftime, the coach encouraged us and asked us to continue in the same rhythm. At the start of the second half, the opponent scored an incredible goal that took the match another way. We were awarded a penalty and a had a couple more chances later, but it did not work. We made the most out on the field, and the supporters gave their best as well, I'm grateful for that. It's hard for us but we have to get our heads together and look forward. We turn to the future, on Sunday we play a new match, all the thoughts are directed towards Istra".

Josip Juranovic was very successful in closing the right side of Hajduk's defense, and he timely participated attacks.

"I think we were more dominant, we had the same possession of the ball and more strikes against goal. It's a pity that we did not manage to score another goal, which would make them even more nervous. We have played a very mature match and the whole team has shown that we can handle strong European clubs. It's a pitty we didn't score from the penalty, it somewhat directed the match, but it should be known that Everton paid EUR 28.5 million for their goalkeeper Pickford. We need to continue with such good games, we turn to championship and cup now".
