In the Europa League third qualifying round first-leg match, Hajduk defeated the Ukrainian Olexandriya 0:3. Goal scorers were Marko Cosic in the 52', Ante Erceg in the 82' and Franck Ohandza in the 90' minute.

The match was followed by a big celebration of Hajduk team along with almost one hundredof fans who managed to come to this distant destination, 2300 kilometers away from home. Coach Marijan Pusnik was happy for this away victory and after the game, he held a press conference:

"Congratulations to the players for an extraordinary second half and very valuable and convincing victory. It was a great first half of 180-minute long duel against Olexandriya, we are waiting for the return match and crowded Poljud stadium. But, in our minds we now only have this week's away game against RNK Split, where we have to confirm this victory."

After the match, at 21:30, Hajduk went by bus from Olexandriya to the airport in Krivoy Rog, and their arrival to Split airport is expected late in the night, between 02:30 and 3:00 AM.
