President of HNK Hajduk Ivan Kos hosted the tennis player Mate Pavic at Poljud today. Mate is a citizen of Split and he won two Grand Slams in the Australian Open last weekend, in doubles and mixed doubles.

On that occasion, on behalf of Hajduk, Kos congratulated Pavic on his achievement and wished him luck in his career and private life, with the emphasis on his sports achievements in recent years, which greatly contribute to the fact that "Split is the greatest sports city in the world", which Mate confirmed with his successful tennis career.

President Kos gave him a Hajduk jersey with the number three, symbolizing the Grand Slam titles that he has won so far in senior competition. Apart from the two mentioned Grand Slam titles at Austalian Open last weekend, Pavic also won the US Open in New York in 2016 in mixed doubles.

In addition to the other souvenirs that were given to him, Pavic also wished to became a member of Hajduk, which he did in the Membership Department today, thus officially joining our numerous family of supporters. Naturally, Mate and his family support Hajduk all their life.
