There are two more days until the first official match in the new season. Željko Kopić's team will play Europa League QR2 first-leg match against Slavia from Sofia at Poljud on Thursday. Hajduk had very good pre-season preparations, giving them a dose of confidence before the start of the new season, but they don't hide that despite the role of the favorites, they will not loose the temper in the match against Slavia.

"There is very little time left until the first game, we are ready for everything that it brings, we have achieved good results at the preparations, but we will not think too much about it as some achievement. Surely the good preparations will help, but we have to be careful because the friendly matches are one thing and the official another. We are ready for Slavia, we believe in ourselves and hope to confirm this in the match" said Josip Posavec, a Hajduk goalkeeper on loan from Palermo.

Hajduk was extremely strong in defense during the preparatory period. The team scored 26 goals in eight games and conceded only two.

"The goal difference confirms that we have worked well but I will repeat that there is no sense in comparing friendly and official matches. The most important thing is that we enter the match against Slavia with the right approach, and it will certainly bring us a good result. The team looks really good, praise to my teammates, but for a real confirmation of it, we have to wait for the first official match. I'm confident we will pass the test".
