Hajduk closed the fist half-season by winning the championship match against Inter Zapresic. At Poljud, they scored five goals, while the away team didn't even make an attempt on goal. Hajduk entered the match fully confident, the match was played only on Inter's half, so Samir Toplak's team didn't stand any chances against attacking Hajduk.
"The first half was very demanding because we played against the wind as well, while in the second half, everything turned to better and we deserved this high win. The new coach brought new ideas, it was a good shock therapy for us, we are trying to give our best and it paid back to us. We have to continue this way. I would like to send a message to our supporters that next spring, Hajduk will be playing the same way as we did in the last 5-6 matches, we are going to fight for wins, as it is expected of us" said the captain Zoran Nizic after the match.
Attcaker Franck Ohandza was in a particularly good mood, who scored a goal and added an assist yesterday. His goal for 1:0 lead was really impressive, he scored on the assist of Zvonimir Kozulj.
"It was a great closure of the first half of the season, we scored five goals, everyone is happy and now we are going home to spend some time with our families".
Ahmed Said Said is also in good shape, he scored the second goal in the last match of 2017.
