Our former player Branko Kraljevic passed away

Branko Kraljević, a former player of Hajduk and RNK Split passed away in Zagreb on November 08, 2015, only a few days before his 76th birthday.

He was born in Kastel Novi on November 10, 1939. He started playing football at the age of 15 as RNK Split player where he became a regular member of their U-19 team, while in 1956 he started playing for the first team of Split.

He was a player of RNK Split until 1963 when he became a player of Hajduk, together with Tomislav Ivic, Marin Zupanov, Ante Pletikosic and goalkeeper Zdenko Pletikosic.

He played for the first team of Hajduk till 1965 in which period he collected 67 caps and scored 16 goals.

After this period in Hajduk, he played for NK Tresnjevka Zagreb for six months, which was followed by his departure for USA where he played for Houston Stars from 1967 till 1968. In 1968 he returned to RNK Split, where he ended his football career.

Branko Kraljevic collected four caps for Yugoslavian B team.

Having finished his football career, he became a coach of RNK Split, Primorac Stobrec and Uskok Klis. 

His funeral service is scheduled for November 11, 2015 at 15:00, Lovrinac cemetery.
