In the second game and in the central part of preparations in Turkey, Hajduk lost from Grasshopper 1:0. It was match in which Hajduk had ball possession on their side as well as periods of extreme domination, especially at the beginning and the end of the first half, created a number of chances, but failed to score and beat the opponent. On the other hand, the Swiss first team once hit the post, and ten minutes before the end of the match, Kamber managed to score from the penalty area line.
Hajduk's coach Siniša Oreščanin highlighted a lot of created chances as a positive side of the match, but also said that it is important to keep working on it to improve attacking performance.
"It was a very good test for us against a quality opponent. It was an equal match, both teams in both halves had their periods of domination, I'm happy with many things, but of course there are plenty of others we still need to work on. Generally, having in mind that this was the second training match, I think we played well, with a lot of shots on goal and many transitions against a good opponent who wanted to outplay us. We will learn a lot from this game and continue our preparation" said Oreščanin, and commented the missed chances to score.
"We need to constantly work on attacking performance, the final third of the game is always the hardest and we are aware that there is still a lot to be done to improve it. It was a positive match in my opinion and we just need to continue working and everything will come together. In this game I got what I was looking for, but of course, I always want that my team scores, that's what we didn't do today" concluded the coach.
