Nikola Vlašić has broken all the records during the last season, becoming the youngest player and scorer Hajduk ever had in European competition. In his first season in the first team he collected 37 caps, with four goals and five assists.
A season later, young Hajduk star who is still under age of 18 (born on October 4, 1997) attracts all the attention with his plays in a test matches, but also with his contribution on practices.
Here is what he said in his latest media interview.
"I'm pleased with my plays so far. I feel very good, powerfull, and it's only up to me to continue playing on such a high level," says Vlašić.
Vlašić is almost unstoppable. The only mean to stop him for the oponent players is by foul, by tackling him.
"I spoke with the coach how to play faster, to get rid of the ball and avoid all those kicks. What I like to play the best is on a position behind forwards. I feel like it's my place to be, especially when I receive a ball between the lines and rush to a goal," says Vlašić.
je gotovo nezaustavljiv. Protivničkim igračima najčešće ostaje samo da ga pokušaju zaustaviti prekršajima.
Speaking about coach Damir Burić, Vlašić says:
"It's hard to compare since all my coaches always prefered a strong discipline. However, I can notice now that he insists on details, analysis, a precision, German style. I think we advanced with these practices, we are younger and faster, and I'm sure we can only grow with our game. As far as I am concerned, I feel like this will be my season.
