Given the large number of enquiries received, Hajduk have began a new retail initiative, by placing player shirts on auction. Henceforth, fans will be able to buy the shirts prominent first team players wore as they excelled on the field.
For starters, Hajduk's player of the match will have his shirt auctioned off at the Hajduk Fan Shop. Hajduk will set the starting price and the duration of the auction. Anyone interested in a purchase can forward their bids to the email address fanshop@hajduk.hr, together with their name and contact information. The highest bidder will be invited to pick up the shirt, and will also be asked to prove their identity with an ID.
It is important to note that all shirts offered in this initiative will be in their original condition, that is with any and all traces of the game - such as mud - which will be removed only at the buyer's insistance. Furthermore, the shirt's new owner will have a chance to meet the player who wore it, and to pose for a photo with him.
Upon the completion of an auction, the bidders' list will be published with their names and the bid amounts. If the winning bid is not paid, or the shirt not picked up within forty-eight hours after the auction concludes, the purchase will be considered forfeit, and the next-highest bidder will be considered.
In case of an auction winner residing far from Split, the amount must be increased by the postage fee if the shirt is to be sent to the auction winner's home address.
International purchases must include advance payments with all of the purchaser's information (name, address...) and also the delivery costs. Incomplete bids (lacking any necessary information) will not be accepted.
Unfortunately, this initiative will not apply to yesterday's hero Marko Bencuna, whose goals put our team back to the top of the standings - as this shirt went flying across the fence into Torcida's waiting hands right after the whistle blew for full time.
