Hajduk presented a good football with four scored goals in the championship match against Istra 1961 in Pula. The goals resulted from great actions and the home team defense couldn't react to any of them. Hajduk scored seven goals in the last two matches, of which Mirko Ivanovski scored three. This center-forward is improving his form each game.

„I'm satisfied that I scored two goals but the most important thing is that we are making progress each match. As the coach said, each match is like a final to us. We are waking up, we are playing well, creating chances and scoring goals. There are a loto f things that we still need to work on and we are dloing it each training session. Coach Vulić is also warning us about that. We are now only thinking about the Cup match and then we will focus on the biggest derby that we are playing this Saturday at Poljud“.

„When we were leading 3:0, we simply automatically relaxed. Due to a lack of concentration Istra created a loto f pressure. We reacted well, scored the fourth goal and decided the winner. There were a few more good chances to score, in the end also a penalty kick for us, but the most important thing is that we won“.

Hajduk will play two matches in three days, the first one an away Croatian Cup round of 32, where Hajduk's opponent is Vrapče from Zagreb, while on Saturday, September 29, 2018, Hajduk is hosting the biggest Croatian derby against Dinamo.

„The Cup match is very important to us, we should not underestimate any opponent in that competition. We know that such matches can be really dangerous and only if we give our best we can qualify to the next round. After that match, we will start preparations for the Saturday's derby and I believe that Poljud will be crowded. My task is to score and I hope that I will score many more goals“ concluded Ivanovski.
