Hajduk had an interesting visitor these days. Otakar Bohata from Prague, Czech Republic has visited Poljud, to see the club where his father Jaroslav was a coach and player in 1923. Also, Mr Bohata's uncle Otto gave a contribution to the rich Hajduk history.

Mr Bohata was delighted for this opportunity, and he will bring unique souvenirs from his vacation in Dalmatia - a team's jersey and club souvenirs given to him by sports manager  Goran Vučević and marketing director Aljoša Bašić.

Split daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija ran a story about Mr Bohata.

And here is what Hajduk chronicles writer Jurica Gizdić wrote about Jaroslav Bohata.
In early 1923 Jaroslav Bohata became a new coach and player of Hajduk. He was born in 1901. Since he didn't play in Prague for some time, there were many sceptics about his arrival to Hajduk. However, this fact made his transfer from Slavia much easier.
Bohata adjusted well, and gained a reputation of one of the best technicians who played in Hajduk until that time. Before Hajduk, he played once for the Czechoslovakian national team in 1922. After Bohata arrived, Hajduk also managed to bring back from Slavia Praha its player Janko Rodin. Bohata also played, and scored, in the first national championship match Hajduk ever played, on September 2, 1923 against SAŠK Sarajevo, which Hajduk lost 4-3. Here is the Hajduk side on that match, for the record: Marin Brajević, Mirko Bonačić, Petar Dujmović, Ante Kesić, Mihovil Borovčić Kurir, Mirko Mihaljević, Mirko Machiedo, Božidar Šitić, Ernest Hockmann, Jaroslav Bohata and Vinko Radić. Goals were scored by Borovčić Kurir, Machiedo and Bohata

Since that defeat meant Hajduk was eliminated from the further competition, Jaroslav Bohata returned to Prague. He was the last coach before the era of Luka Kaliterna. A new era begun for Hajduk. Club began relying on its forces, after a decade marked with an influence by the Whites tutors from Czechoslovakia. In ten months he played with Hajduk, Jaroslav Bohata played 11 matches and scored four goals.
