Mid-season preparations are in the final stage, this is the 6th week of training and the first match, against RNK Split, will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Park mladezi stadium, kick - off 17:00.

RNK Split is currently holding penultimate position on the MAXtv First League table with eight points and they will continue the season with a new coach Bruno Akrapovic, who has been coaching their first team for the last few days, as a replacement for the former coach Vjekoslav Lokica.

Hajduk and RNK Split played championship matches twice this season and Hajduk won both. In the first match at Park mladezi, Hajduk won 1:0, while in the second, played in October at Poljud, Hajduk won 2:1.

Croatian Football Federation has appointed match officials for Sunday's City derby. Igor Pajac from Sveti Ivan Zelina is appointed match referee, while Vedran Durak from Stupno and Davor Kozarec from Domaslovac will be assistant referees. The fourth official is Goran Gabrilo from Split. This season, Pajac was appointed referee to Hajduk on one match, against Istra 1961 at Aldo Drosina. Lino Rosa from Vodnjan is the match delegate while Dragutin Poljak from Zagreb is referee observer.
