"I was off trainings for three months and eight days precisely. I have been counting days as if I was in prison" said Marko Pejic, smiling.

This first team player of Hajduk is in a good mood now when he started training with the team after a serious knee injury.

This Monday he joined the team for his first regular training session after a long recovery process.

"My last match was against Stromgodset and I got injured two days before the next away match against Lokomotiva. That period was really hard for me. I had knee orthoses for four and a half weeks. I was not allowed to touch ball for more than two months. I spent whole that time in the gym and it was worth it. I don't want to think about the injury now. It belongs to past. It feels great to get back training with the team" said this 20 year old left back.

"I want to thank to our physical conditioning coordinator Marijo Tomljanovic and his team, especially toTea Beslija and Frane Zuvela who helped me a lot. I worked with them twice a day. Their smile, positive thinking and good mood helped me as much as their expertise."

Another first team player supported him through the recovery process:

"Zoran Nizic. I spent the last two months with him. He is really a great person, always up to joking. Everytime I see him, I know that I can expect a show. I'm really glad that he finally recovered from his injury and I believe that he is going to get back playing soon."

"Since the end of the first half of the season is approcahing, I believe that I would be fully fit for the winter training camp. I hope I will get back on the pitch as soon as possible. It was really hard to watch the games from stands. I went to each match and supported the team. We had a great period and I was happy for my team, club and supporters. Even though the last two matches set us back a bit, I believe in this team. We have everything that is needed to get back on the winning track."

This season, Marko Pejic collected 11 caps in the offical games for the first team.
