On Sunday, Hajduk has won the fourth consecutive match and continues into the final part of the season in excellent form. In the celebration against Istra, Marko Futacs scored and added assist, he has been playing very good matches lately.
"We worked well and finally I can say that it paid back to us. We fought and acted as a team all this time and I'm glad we finally get what we deserve. Four consecutive victories are not a minor thing and the feeling is really fantastic. I hope we will not stop on this, we want to cheer our fans again in the next match".
On Saturday at Poljud, kick - off 17:00, Hajduk will play a match against Osijek, and Marko has already scored them twice this season.
"There is no bigger motivation than the last four wins, that's a guide mark for the future. We are full of confidence and we believe in continuing the winning series that has started in the match against Cibalia. We believe in ourselves and we hope that against Osijek, in front of our supporters, we will win and thus confirm the third place on the table".
He scored four goals this spring, and with 11 goals, he is the top scorer of Hajduk in the current MAXtv First League season.
"I feel very good, I worked hard and knew I could justify the trust the coach gave me. I'm happy to score goals, but it has no real worth if the team is not winning as well. Most of all, I want to keep the good form in the last stage of the season and goals will come if we continue to act and work as a team".
In the last two victories (Dinamo and Istra 1961), Marko, apart from scoring, took part in the action in which his teammate striker, Ante Erceg, scored a goal. Together, these two Hajduk's strikers scored nine goals in the second half of the season.
"We are complementing at the pitch well and performing the tasks that coach Joan Carrillo is expecting from us. Not only the two of us, but also Ohandza and Said, but I certainly think that we all can and need to be even better. The matches against Osijek and Rijeka are ahead of us and I hope we will continue this way" concluded Futacs.
