Mario Tokić - Joan Carrillo
On Sunday evening, Hajduk played the first round match in the new Hrvatski Telekom First Division season. It was an away match against Lokomotiva at the stadium Maksimir in Zagreb and Hajduk won 3:1.
Hajduk has thus opened the new championship season in the best possible way and coach Joan Carrillo has managed to rest some of the players who will probably play the next, Europa League QR2 second - leg match against Levski in Sofia.
Franck Ohandza scored the first goal of the new championship season, in the 44th minute, on the assist of Hamza. At the beginning of the second half, in the 47th minute, Karacic scored an equalizer. Later, in the action for the new lead of Hajduk, Ohandza took the ball from the opponent at the center and timely passed the ball to Erceg, who scored for 2:1 in the 54th minute. Finally, a few minutes before the end of the match, captain Zoran Nizic scored a header for 3:1 after a corner kick for Hajduk.
The victory against Lokomotiva has definitely come in the right moment to keep the positive atmosphere ahead of the second-leg match in Bulgaria and coach Carrillo certainly has reasons to be satisfied with the first two matches. Today especially, because some of the usual starters managed to take some rest and Hajduk won the first out of four consecutive away rounds in the First Division.
