Hajduk's young striker Franko Kovacevic made his championship debut for Hajduk in the win against Rudes. He fought a lot in the first half, he had one good chance and overall, he left a good impression at Poljud.

"The championship goal was to get back to winning, we managed to achieve it and we are happy that it ended like this. I want to thank coach Kopic for trusting me, this is a big boost for me" Kovacevic pointed out and commented on his game.

"It was not easy at the beginning, I didn't play for some time, and this was a serious match with great expectations. As the minutes passed, it was a lot easier and we were helped by our supporters, who kept motivating us. I was hoping to play, but it was a surprise when I found out that I'm going to be among the starting 11. I will continue to work and will give my best to further improve my game" said Kovacevic.

Josip Juranovic played a very good game, he was a constant threat to the away team from the right side.

"We have proved that we have a winning mentality, most importantly that after the defeat against Slaven Belupo we reacted in the right way. The ball possession was largely in our favour and we deserved to win this game. I think we could have scored a few more goals, but this result is also good" concluded Juranovic.
