Poljud press room was especially ceremonial today, on the occasion of the announcement of captain Lovre Kalinic's contract extension. Kalinic has extended his contract with Hajduk until 2021 and he will keep leading his team in the upcoming period.

In order to announce it officially, President of the Board Ivan Kos and Lovre Kalinic held a press conference, both clearly satisfied.

President Kos said:

"Lovre is the best First League goalkeeper and one of the best goalkeepers in Hajduk's history. We wanted to show our opinion about him not only to him but to everyone. I wish him a lot of great matches and many more trophies with Hajduk and national team".

Lovre continued:

"I want to thank everyone from the Club, especially to the President, as I've been having great cooperation with him from the starts. I'm extremely honored, this is the first such press conference on the occasion of signing contract. It means a lot, I was born here and I live here."

"Why should I extend my contract only for one more year? If a transfer happens, that club would definitely have to pay a certain amount to Hajduk for my obtaining my services. I'm not a kind of guy who wants to leave Hajduk, the Club that gave me everything, without giving back what I can. It wouldn't be fair" concluded captain Kalinic.
