Hajduk's captain Josip Juranović made a big contribution to his team in the field against Rijeka at Rujevica. As always, the right back was tireless, he did not stop till the end the match, thus showing a real example of how to struggle for Hajduk. The rest of the team followed him, Hajduk was losing at Rujevica, but eventually they managed to return thanks to Mijo Caktaš, who scored from a penalty kick in the last minues of the match.

"When we sum up the match, we have to be satisfied with this result, it was a tough match, we conceded a goal but we didn't lose hope, we gave our best and eventually we managed to equalize. Rijeka was better in the second half, they had several opportunities, but that is why we have Posavac who saved a lot of chances, except for the situation where they scored and he couldn't save" Juranovic said after the game.

In the first half we saw an interesting situation where he returned the ball to tjhe opponent team after the referee awarded free kick for Hajduk.

"That was my decision, I would not go into details now, but before I returned the ball I asked the coach if I could do it".

Already on Thursday Hajduk is playing UEL QR3 second-leg match against the Romanian FCSB in Bucharest. The first-leg match ended without a goal.

"All thoughts are already on that game, we have to concentrate and achieve the result that will lead us to play off. We're still not at our best, but I'm sure we'll soon be at the right level" concluded the captain.
