Hajduk's captain Josip Juranović commented today's Europa League first qualifying round draw that decided that Hajduk's first opponent will be Gzira United from Malta. The first leg match will take place on July 11 and the second leg seven days later at Poljud.

"We can't wait to play that game, we saw that they ended the season in third place and regardless the fact that we are favourites in those matches, we must take them seriously. It is our intention to secure the placement to the next round in the first leg, to act like we are playing at home, aggressively and fully focused from the kick-off, so that we can in that way confirm our role of favourites. We want to decide the better team in Malta already and then confirm it at home" said captain Juranović after the draw.

He also commented the pre-season preparations on the day nine of their training in Split.

"We are working hard, twice a day, it is our intention to be fully prepared and in the best possible shape for the beginning of the season. On Friday, we will play our first friendly game with Solin and as of Sunday, we move to Slovenia, where we will have the most important part of our pre-season preparation ahead of the first official matches" concluded Juranović.
