Hajduk's co-captain Josip Juranović pointed out the importance of passing in the quarter-finals of the Croatian Cup after Hajduk celebrated 2:1 at the end of the second extra half at Šubićevac. Šibenik took a lead at an early stage of the match, after Mirko Ivanovski unfortunately headed one Šibenik's shot on goal into his net and Hajduk equalized just before the end of the regular match, thanks to Ahmed Said Said. Stanko Jurić brought Hajduk this victory and a ticket to the next round thanks to his goal in the 119th minute.

"We re-directed the match only in the last seconds of the second extra half, but this is a very important victory for us to get more mental strength, and now we go to Gorica to win there" said Juranović after the game ended in Šibenik.

He also commented the entire sequence of missed opportunities, Hajduk had 33 shots on goal, of which 19 on target.

"We had so many chances that we did not realize, we have to work on it, but fortune finally helped us and rewarded us with a last-minute goal, even though we could resolve the match earlier. Before the extra time, the coach told us that we only keep playing this way and that the goal will come. We were the better team, and our win is absolutely deserved" Juranović concluded.
