Josip Juranovic played for the second time in the position of the centre-back against Istra 1961. Last time it happened two years ago, when he also played with Ardijan Ismajli in the last round, when Hajduk celebrated 3:2 against Zagreb at Kranjceviceva stadium. Although it is not his natural position, Juranovic did very well the tasks that his coach Zeljko Kopic put in front of him.

"I was psychologically preparing for that position, though I'm shorter than the players who play at such positions, but I think I did well with the Ismajli. He was focused on defensive jumps, I covered his back, and eventually it ended up well. I'm sorry that Istra lost focus in the end, but we were better during the whole match and we deserved such a convincing victory" Juranovic said after the match at Aldo Drosina.

Already on Sunday, they are playing the next match, this time against Osijek at Poljud.

"We will immediately start preparing for the next match against Osijek and I hope we will play like this again. I think we always play good football, but in some games we couldn't score, there was a little lack of luck, but I believe we will show our true face by the end of the season".

In the last half an hour Juranovic took over the captain's armbend. It was a special week for him, in the past match he collected 100 caps for Hajduk, and against Istra 1961 he led the team as a captain in the last third of the match.

"The feeling is amazing. Today was a really special day for me. I played as a central defender, I was the captain, which is more than a special honor, especially after a great game and even better result. Congratulations to the whole team" concluded Juranovic.
