New head coach of Hajduk's first team is Joan Carrillo, Spanish coach born on September 08, 1968.

The last club that he coached was Almeria from Spain. Previously, he was head coach of Videoton with whom he convincingly won the Hungarian championship in the season 2014/2015.

He began his coaching career in the youth team of Espanyol, where he later worked as an assistant coach of Maurizio Pochettino, the current coach of Tottenham. He was assistant coach in Videoton too, before he became a head coach there.

As a football player, Carrillo played for Girona, Andorra, Espanyol B, Poli Ejido, Palamos and Vilassar Mar.

Coach Carrillo takes on coaching the first team today and he will have his first official match with the new team against NK Cibalia in Vinkovci, on Saturday, December 10, 2016, kick - off 15:00.
