Jefferson said goodbye to his teammates, coaches and staff at the hotel Habakuk and left the pre-season camp on Maribor Pohorje early in the morning.

Jefferson was allowed to go to Portugal, at GD Chaves, where he will undergo medical examinations, and if all goes well, the Brazilian player will sign a contract for his new club, with a satisfactory transfer fee.

His farewell from Hajduk was very emotional. On behalf of the club, Sports Director Mario Branco thanked him, wishing him luck in his future career. He said Jefferson was a positive example of a player who was a real professional and a player who carried out all his obligations immaculately.

"It is hard for me to leave Hajduk because I have to say goodbye to the coaches, teammates and people in the club with whom I have spent two years. I wish a lot of luck and success to my Hajduk in the season as well as to all the players. What is important to say is that I've got true friends in this club and in the city" Jeff concluded emotionally.
