After Josip Radosevic, another former player of Hajduk returned to Poljud. Ivan Pesic has signed a contract with Hajduk and will start pre-season preparations this Friday, from the first day, with the rest of the squad.

"I finally came back home, it was my big wish, thank You Hajduk!" said Ivan after having signed the contract.

Pesic was Hajduk U-19 player and he also played one official match for the first team almost seven years ago. It was the Cup match against Jadran from Gunja. Overall, when also counting friendly matches, he played for the first team ten times and scored two goals.

"Hajduk raised me, I stayed at Poljud for six years, I'm delighted with the fact that I got a chance to dress the white shirt again. This is a great step forward for me, a great acknowledgment, and in every training and games, I will try to thank for the trust Hajduk that has in me. I have already said, by coming back to Poljud I feel like at home, I look forward to the first day of preparation and I believe we will all have a lot of success in the coming period. I know the team very well, I don't think I will need much time to assimilate. Hajduk has a very good team, great players, and this positive competition is pushing forward all of us".

Pesic arrived to Poljud from RNK Split. In the period between leaving Hajduk and coming to RNK Split, he was also playing for Sibenik and Zadar.

"Ivan was a good opportunity for Hajduk. He was free agent, he had a good season behind him. He played 35 games and scored 6 goals and is an interesting player on the football market. He is a player from Hajduk's Youth Academy and we only had to agree about the contract conditions" said Sports Director Mario Branco.
